Content Description

Sheet negatives of photographs taken by Minneapolis Public Library WPA workers in the 1930s featuring Minneapolis scenes. The negatives are photographs of photographs--some within the library collection, some donated or loaned by individuals and organizations. WPA workers may have gone into the community to photograph private collections. There may be some original photography of buildings included. Negatives are arranged alphabetically by subject in acidic folders. See box list for subject listings. Film is assumed to be cellulose nitrate.
