The collection consists of color 35mm slide transparencies of tornado damage from a 1981 Minneapolis tornado and a 1979 Minnetonka tornado, as well as views of Burton Park in Minnetonka, downtown Minneapolis buildings, and Memorial Stadium.

Biography

Edward Hathaway was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Minnetonka, where he took the photographs of the 1979 tornado damage and of Burton Park. He later moved to Minneapolis in 1980 near W. 36th St. and Colfax Ave. S., where he took the photographs of the 1981 East Harriet tornado damage.
