Biography

Herb Paul worked for the Minneapolis Star for decades, both as a war correspondent during World War II and as city and business editor. Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, Herb Paul served in France during WWI. After the war, Paul joined the staff of the Minneapolis Star. He worked for the Pioneer Press and the Minneapolis Civic and Commerce Association before covering the Pacific theater of World War II for the Star. After retiring in 1957, Paul worked for the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Zoological Society. Paul lived at 3820 Vincent Ave. S in Minneapolis. He died in 1964 at age 71.
