Fact sheets, building information, correspondence and other administrative records documenting the history and operations of Lyndale Library in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from [Year] to 1926. Lyndale Library was part of the Minneapolis Public Library. The Minneapolis Public Library and Hennepin County Library merged in 2008.
One box. The collection consists of 13 folders concerning creative writing and book review classes Oren taught at the Minneapolis Public Library during the 1930s and 1940s. In addition to Oren's own notes on the classes, many folders contain copies of works written by her students.
The collection consists of three boxes and one oversized container. One box contains personal correspondence and papers. The second box contains notes and typewritten transcripts related to her biography "Lady in Law". The third box contains unpublished manuscripts and speeches, as well as newspaper clippings.
The collection consists of color 35mm slide transparencies depicting exterior scenes of downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul in 1979. Seventeen slides from this collection are available in the Hennepin County Library Digital Collections.
Over 1300 maps of Minneapolis and Hennepin County from the 1820s to the 2010s. Maps range from city planning drafts to published tourist brochure maps. The bulk of the collection documents Minneapolis, but Hennepin County suburbs and the entire Twin Cities metropolitan area are often included. The collection includes many planning maps donated by the City of Minneapolis in 2018. Maps are arranged chronologically. Creator, contributor, and publisher information are included when known.

Two boxes. Papers include clippings, correspondence, reports, campaign materials, 1935-1979. Whether the original order or from a previous reorganization, papers are grouped primarily chronologically; several items are also grouped by conversation. The order of the papers has been maintained with some refoldering dependent on space. (For example, correspondence and papers originally from the July 1946 folder are now in the July-December 1946 folder.)

The book is a Graduation Memories book published by C.R. Gibson & Company (New York, N.Y.) in 1923. Included in the book are newspaper clippings; programs from plays, events, and graduations; dance cards; invitations; autographs; and assorted materials.

The collection contains correspondence, notes, manuscripts, and typescripts pertinent to Marion Cross's translation of Father Louis Hennepin's "Description of Louisiana Newly Discovered to the Southwest of New France by Order of His Majesty." Cross, who held a master's degree in French, undertook the translation in early 1936.
One box containing three scrapbooks, one folder. Collection consists of loose and bound notes and clippings or handwritten cards, and pamphlets produced by Ms. Wells dated 1891-1917.
Consists of over 700 images on 35mm black and white strip negatives. Most of the images are of events in the Twin Cities, taken in 1941 and 1942.

Newspaper clippings and postcards sent by First Lieutenant Melvin Roy Swensen to his family in Minneapolis. Swensen was a Japanese prisoner of war from 1942 to 1945. The postcards are forms issued by the Imperial Japanese Army with short messages from Swensen.
The collection contains menus for Hennepin County restaurants and events from the late 1800s to the present. The bulk of the menus are from Minneapolis restaurants and date from the 1930s and later. The menus often include prices, specials, and location information.
Five boxes. Collection includes correspondence from 1948-1965, 1971-1973, 1974-1978, 1981, and 1982-1984. Also included are clippings, photos, biographies, scrapbooks, publications, membership lists, bulletins, history, rules and regulations, meeting minutes and poems from members.
The following bound poetry pamphlets were lost to water damage in the basement flood of Regent Maxine Larson: Fall 1994, Fall 1995, Fall 1996, Spring 1997, Spring 1999, Fall 2001.
Vertical files and index card files on residents of Minneapolis and Hennepin County compiled by library staff. Vertical files contain newspaper clippings and occassional ephemera. Card files are an index to articles that were printed in local newspapers or other publications. Card files occassionally include full-text obituaries. Files are arranged alphabetically by last name. The collection is richest in Minneapolis residents from the 1940s to 1990s.
One box. The book is a handwritten book of minutes of meetings of the Board of Trade from April 1895 to April 1899. The entries are all written by the Board's Secretary, John T. Hemphill. There are also a few newspaper articles relevant to the Board's business pasted in at various spots.

Both libraries were part of the Minneapolis Public Library. The Minneapolis Public Library and Hennepin County Library merged in 2008.
