Hennepin County Library Photographs
Print photographs, negatives, and slides of Minneapolis Public Library and Hennepin County Library locations, staff, and events. Most photos were taken by library staff. Slides are arranged by topic. Prints and negatives are individually numbered and an item-level inventory is available by contacting Special Collections.
Hennepin County Public Works County Roads Contracts
This collection consists of five volumes compiled by the Hennepin County Public Works Department between the 1890s and 1918. The volumes contain contracts, work orders, and minimal correspondence.
The Roadwork Contract Index is an index to the Roadwork Contracts volumes. The index is organized by county road number and includes basic location and descriptive information for each listed county road.
Hennepin County War Records Committee Records
Collection includes correspondence relating to soldier nominations and other War Records Committee correpondence. There is also correspondence about soldiers who died after the war. Included are materials from the dedication of the parkway, regrets from invitees and pamphlets of the Gold Star roster.
Reports include War Records Committee reports, reports from high schools and teachers.
Herb Paul Papers
Photographs, correspondence, and limited newspaper clippings of Herbert Paul. The correspondence is primarily letters addressed to Paul at the time of his retirement from the Minneapolis Star in 1957.
