Description of Contents

These photographs were taken in 1980 by the photographer James Taulman as part of a multi-city survey of urban architecture which Taulman conducted for the Trammel Crow Company. The bulk of the images are of Minneapolis and suburban buildings. There are also a couple dozen images of St. Paul buildings.

Biography

James Taulman, a Kansas-based housing inspector, took photographs as part of a 200-city tour in 1980 and 1981 for the property development company, Trammel Crow. The photographs were taken in an effort to create a database of contemporary urban architecture. The focus of the database was on recently constructed buildings.
