History

Located inside a store at Lyndale Ave. and W Lake St., the Lyndale deposit station became a full Minneapolis Public Library branch location in 1908. The branch enjoyed especially good circulation in its early years. In 1926, the branch was closed and merged into the new West Lake Library.

Fact sheets, building information, correspondence and other administrative records documenting the history and operations of Lyndale Library in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from [Year] to 1926. Lyndale Library was part of the Minneapolis Public Library. The Minneapolis Public Library and Hennepin County Library merged in 2008.

Custodial History

Materials from before 2008 were included in the Minneapolis Public Library archives (accession 2019.25).
