Description of Contents
Brochures, newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, and ephemera documenting Marj Wunder's work as a peace activist. Edina Grandmothers for Peace, the Peace Garden at Lyndale Park (near Lake Harriet), the Honeywell Project, and the relationship between Minneapolis and Hiroshima, Japan, are especially well documented. Collection includes many programs from Peace Garden events and annual Hiroshima/Nagasaki remembrance days.
Most materials are arranged alphabetically. Scrapbooks are arranged chronologically.

Biography
Marjorie Irene Munson Wunder was a peace activist in Edina and throughout the Twin Cities. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Peace Garden near Lake Harriet and the Minneapolis-Hiroshima friendship cities connection. Wunder was active in the Honeywell project (in protest of the company's war production) and Women Against Military Madness. She was a founding member of Grandmothers for Peace. Marj Wunder lived in Edina, Minnesota, with her husband Hollis Wunder and children Holly, Douglas, and Julianne. Wunder died October 1, 2021 at age 90.
