Slide presentation on the Northwestern National Bank fire entitled "How to Survive a Disaster." Collection includes 47 35mm color slides, 1 audio cassette tape, and a presentation script. Materials copyrighted by Minnesota Insurance Information Center and used by Lee M. Cooper, Fire Training Specialist at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.

Biographical / Historical
The Northwestern National Bank Building and the adjacent Donaldson Block (including the former Donaldson's Department store) burned on Thanksgiving Day 1982 in a large fire. These buildings were located between Marquette Ave. and Nicollet Mall, between 6th St. S and 7th St. S in downtown Minneapolis. The damaged buildings were demolished and later replaced by the Norwest Tower (later Wells Fargo Tower) and Gaviidae Center.
The Minnesota Insurance Information Center was non-profit organization sponsored by the insurance industry.
